PROFESSOR, BIOLOGY

THIS IS A TEMPORARY, HOURLY AS NEEDED POSITION WITHOUT PERMANENT STATUS

SALARY: $ 67.14 PER LECTURE HOUR EQUIVALENT

DUTIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching courses in Biology such as General Biology for non-majors (Bio 1), Marine Biology (Bio 20), Biology for Majors (Bio 4), and Microbiology (Micro 22). Assignments may include late afternoon and evening hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A. One of the following:
1. Master's in any biological science; OR
2. Bachelor's in any biological science AND Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or mareine science; OR
3. The equivalent; AND
B. Commitment to the community college goals/objectives of providing quality programs and services for students with diverse abilities and interests; personal qualities to work effectively and sensitively in a multicultural student environment; awareness and commitment to the special needs of non-traditional students; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
