THIS IS A TEMPORARY, HOURLY AS NEEDED POSITION WITHOUT PERMANENT STATUS
SALARY: $ 67.14 PER LECTURE HOUR EQUIVALENT
DUTIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching Biology 15 Human Sexuality Spring 2011. Assignments may include late afternoon and evening hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
A. One of the following:
1. Master's in any biological science; OR
2. Bachelor's in any biological science AND Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or mareine science; OR
3. The equivalent; OR
4. Master’s in health science, health education, dietetics, or nutrition; OR
5. Bachelors in any of the above AND Master’s in public health, or any biological science;B. Commitment to the community college goals/objectives of providing quality programs and services for students with diverse abilities and interests; personal qualities to work effectively and sensitively in a multicultural student environment; awareness and commitment to the special needs of non-traditional students; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. AND
C. Experience teaching human sexuality or work experience in a related field of public health.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Applicants must submit all of the following: completed Mt. Applications will be evaluated, taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, training, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities. Selected applicants will be invited for an oral interview which will include a 10 minute teaching demonstration on a topic provided in advance of the interview date.
The number of vacancies is dependent on student enrollment, College resources, needs, and Board of Trustees' approval. Applications will be accepted throughout the year.
