Child Development Career Paths

The Mt. SAC Child Development Program offers a wide range of classes that provide the necessary professional training for those wishing to enter the field of early childhood education.  The certificate programs in the Mt. SAC Child Development Program are each a carefully chosen set of core and complementary courses that provide a sound basis for the development of the professional skills employers in this field value and seek most.  Students can also receive an A.S. Degree in Early Childhood Development or complete the core curriculum required to transfer to a university Bachelor's Degree Program.  The Child Development department offers an A.S. Degree in Child Development and 11 certificates within this field.
