Public Safety/L.A. County Sheriffs to Raise Campus Theft Awareness

Vehicle ThefsVehicles Parked in High-Capacity Parking Lots Are Vulnerable to Thefts!

The Mt. SAC Public Safety and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s departments are partnering in a campaign to heighten employee and student awareness of the need to protect their personal belongings by not leaving them exposed in their parked vehicles on campus.

Next Tuesday, Sept. 13, officers from both units will blanket parked vehicles across the campus with windshield flyer inserts that offer theft prevention tips. They are also extending their theft prevention message beyond the parking lot and encouraging students and employees to protect their personal belongs while on campus—in offices, classrooms, and food/concession venues.
