Registration Opens, Rose Garden (north side of building 4)
Wildlife Santuray Tour I
Professors Craig Peterson and Mark Cooper lead an hour-long tour of Mt. SAC’s Wildlife Sanctuary. A 22-acre preserve for the trees, shrubs and flowers that once grew in abundance here. It is also used by birds and other animals as a migratory refuge and breeding ground. Wear comfortable shoes.
Planetarium Shows I
See why so many have become “star-struck” with our state-of-the-art planetarium and the incredible shows about our universe. Mt. SAC is one of the nation’s few community colleges that owns and operates a planetarium. The show is 20 minutes and will repeat at 9:30 am.
Ag Trail Tour I
Learn about California agriculture, efficient water irrigation systems, learning showcases on landscape design, plant identification, decking as well as plant production, pest control and seasonal gardening.
Science Exploration Center & Meek Museum I
Alumnus and Mesoamerican archaeologist Joe Orozco will present his findings from a recent dig in Belize during this 40 minute presentation.
